Give Me More
Desiree Nichols is no stranger to heartbreak, but when her hot, young boyfriend abandons her after two years of being together, Dez-s foundations begin to crumble. To make matters worse, a family crisis is calling her home to face the people she left behind, the ones who never accepted her as anything but trouble. Fine. If that-s how they see her, she-ll rise to the occasion. Miami-s hot, sultry nightlife offers plenty of opportunities for a girl to drown her disappointments, and Dez wastes no time hooking up with her old friends. Together, she and her girlfriends prowl the town, attending private parties where every fantasy can be fulfilled, every desire satisfied with no strings attached. The last thing on Dez-s mind is finding bliss in the arms of a seductive new partner who couldn-t be more different from her ex-and who awakens in her a hunger she-s tried to deny. But that-s exactly what happens-
Now, in clandestine couplings at four-star restaurants, sizzling explorations in downtown sex clubs, and private romantic dinners where sensual boundaries are pushed and hearts are laid bare, two lovers will awaken in each other an intense, soul-deep passion that could change their lives forever-

From Booklist
Desiree "Dez" Nichols shared her sexual orientation with her family at 14. That revelation changed the relationships with her twin, Derrick, and her father, Warrick. Fortunately, her mother's younger sister, Pauletta, lived the lifestyle that enabled Dez to explore her sexuality. Aunt Paul left Dez a substantial inheritance that provided her a comfortable living. Dez's lifestyle of drugs, sex, and leisure allowed her to leave Miami without looking back. For more than two years she was estranged from her family and friends. Upon her return she discovers not only that the landscape of the gay scene has changed but also that her mother is battling ovarian cancer. When Dez meets her brother's good friend Victoria "Tori" Jackson, she is immediately attracted. Dez and Tori agree to spend time with each other and not tell anyone. As their relationship deepens, they find that their pasts keep interfering with their feelings. Dez finds herself in unfamiliar territory wanting to remain monogamous with Tori. After several months of courtship, they realize how strong their feelings are for one another and redefine their relationship. Lillian Lewis

Another Wonderful Read
I enjoyed this novel because the characters seemed real. I didn't fall in love with this novel as fast as I feel in love with "Bliss." However, I still love the book and suggest everyone to read it. You will be suprised by the story, the plot, and many of the scenes captured within the pages.
Fiona does it AGAIN
Fiona Zedde stepped it up a notch with, A Taste of Sin. After reading Bliss I didn't think it was possible. As Desiree "Dez" Nichols lives her life haphazardly with an inheritance left to her by her lesbian aunt; she takes us on a journey filled with wild sex, drugs, friendship and trust, which finally leads her to love. Dez returns home after a 2 year sabbatical spent with a partner that goes against everything she has professed since the age 14, concerning her sexuality. She returns after becoming privy to information concerning her mother's health. Ms. Zedde does a wonderful job weaving the lives of Dez, her family, friends and finally Tori, the woman who steals her heart.
As you travel on this journey of self-discovery with her you realize that even the hardest sistah will eventually succumb to matters of the heart. You enjoy the sensations that her wild nights out with the girls give. You hold your breath as she takes on this illness carried by her mother. You laugh as she and her twin brother take turns lashing out at one another. And, when she comes in contact with love, a love she has never known; you feel every part of it. As she begins to descend down this road filled with unfamiliarity, it is clear that the best is yet to come. I can't wait to read the next novel.
Gomorrah has been resurrected....
Zedde tells a mesmeric tale of lust set in the backdrop of Miami. I am attracted to erotica in which I can potentially expand my own sexual horizons by learning something new or have a voyeuristic peek into things that I am incapable of experiencing (ie, lesbian relationships).
I read this book wide eyed. Like a young boy who falls upon his fathers nudie magazine collection for the first time as he thumbs through the pages quickly while keeping both ears open and glancing over his shoulder repeatedly hoping that they don't get caught.
Fiona does not give us a...taste...of sin. Ohhh no! She stuffs the reader with a banquet of it. I must say after reading this book I am...very...satisfied. However, although I enjoyed the intensity, passion, and remorseless...sinning...of the women that Ms. Zedde created in this hedonistic tale. I am more impressed with Fiona's writing style. At times her words literally dance on the page with a life of their own.
It's official. I am now a Fiona Zedde fan. Great book. Great writer. Five stars.
