Customer Reviews
Excellent for booklovers
This is definitely my favorite boxed calendar. I am a devoted reader, but have only so much time to check out what is new and interesting. And I am not fond of trolling through big box bookstores trying to find something. This calendar has 365 brief reviews of books of all kinds, most of which I have never heard of, and probably would not have considered reading without a recommendation. The reviews are concise, often funny and informative. And it is a plus that I can (and do!) recycle the torn off pages of the calendar for scratch paper.
Fun for all Book Lovers
This is the third year I've bought the Book Lover's Calendar, and I now buy it as a gift for every book lover I know. I think the calendar does a good job of recommending a variety of different reads--historical non-fiction, literary fiction, mysteries, romance novels, and coffee table books. The reviews are succinct and informative. And for the green book lover, each calendar page is blank on the back--perfect for phone messages, grocery lists or notes about other great books.
A calendar worth waiting for
Two other daily calendars (Christmas presents) weren't worth turning the page, so more than two months into the new year, I found a copy of the Book Lovers Page-A-Day calendar and finally am back to checking it every day. Now again, I'm generating lists of books I want to read, of books to give as gifts, and of books to suggest to friends.
