Our favorite calendar
Every year, I have to purchase more and more copies of "The 365 Kittens A Year" calendar for friends and relatives who have seen my copy and want one of their own. The calendar is standard-size wall-format with a color picture of a kitten or kittens for every day of the year---some posed, some just being naturally irresistible.

365 pictures of kittens makes a great Christmas gift---a smile for every day of year. People from all over the world send in their cutest kitten photographs (we've had our kittens featured for several years running) to be selected for the calendar. If you buy a copy of the 2009 version, there is an entry blank on the first interior page, so that you, too can send in your kitten's photographs for the following year's contest.

The calendar also includes kitten quotations, e.g. "Kittens learn early to listen intently when someone calls them--and then do absolutely nothing," plus advice on kitten care.

Unsentimental favorite
This calendar has been an annual tradition around our house for the last twelve years. Daily ogling of photos of other people's kittens has made it easier for us to resist adding to our microherd. We can enjoy the variety without having an actual kitten present!
One complaint: in recent years, the editors have chosen to include more and more kittens wearing costumes. This is an unfortunate trend. Not only are cats generally opposed to being dressed (one of us--hint: not I!--has the scratches to prove it), but the outfits often obscure the kitten's features. Natural cats, please!

Review of 365 Kittens a Month Calendar
I always ask for this calendar for Christmas. It is so cute with the pictures of all the kittens as well as the monthly information about what your cat/kitten needs and wants.

We are a three cat household and love anything cat related. It is one of the best calendars on cats on the market.
