What mom couldn’t use a personal assistant? The companion to Mom's Family Calendar, Mom's Family Desk Planner is an organizing dynamo that goes everywhere she does. Running 17 months beginning in August 2009, the planner ensures that no band practice gets missed, no doctor's appointment slips through the cracks. And hey, it looks great too, filled with Sandra Boynton's buoyant, full-color drawings. Each spread features an illustration on the lefthand side, and on the right, a roomy week-at-a-glance grid with two write-in columns—one for Mom's schedule, one for the rest of the family’s. In the back are 52 weeks of perforated grocery and "to-do" lists, and space for important phone numbers. The front and back covers feature handy storage pockets, and 150 full-color stickers are bound right into the book.

Desk Planner
Not just a calendar, in my opinion. Calendars are a staple necessity in my life. Not as much any more as most of my children are grown & gone, but I still have a child in high school and 3 pets. This calendar offers big space for all the notes I need, pockets for receipts, perforated tear off to-do lists and of course those cute stickers just to make things fun.
Mom's Family Desk Planner
I love this calendar - Boynton's whimsical pictures make me smile every time I turn a page. The stickers are great too - I use them on cards and letters as well as on the calendar. It makes a great gift for the Mom's in the family.
NOT a desk version of Mom's family planner
I ordered this item hoping for a smaller form of Mom's family planner. I wanted a book form of Mom's family planner that I could easily carry with me in order to track activities.
This is not it. The organization of activities by date and family member is NOT present in this planner.
This is a traditional desk planner, but even more cumbersome than usual. Weekly pages alternate with cute Boynton drawings. If you want a vanilla planner with a lot of Boynton pics and you never need to haul it around, you may like this one - the paper is good quality and the drawings have a lot of white space for note-scrawling.
Just don't believe the name: this is NOT a Mom's Family Planner.
