Poorly executed!
This would be a lovely calendar if it hadn't been printed on shiny paper, which I find totally useless for a calendar. It's impossible to write information in pencil on it, which I do because of the changing nature of appointments. I think lines, too, would be nice, especially if (as it's seemingly intended) this is supposed to track all family activities.

All in all, I definitely regret purchasing this (couldn't tell about the shiny paper until I opened it) and don't recommend it for people who actually do want to write on their calendar.

Nice and simple
I like this calendar a lot! I used the more colorful Plan-It calendar last year and it was a little much for me. This is simple and tidy looking and doesn't make my eyes go crazy when I look at it. Someone mentioned that pencils don't work on the glossy surface -- that is not the case. Perhaps try another pencil? My #2 pencil and BIC mechanical pencils worked fine. It's not super dark like a sharpie, but that's expected -- I need to be able to erase. I took away one star because I like the family member lines that other calendars have. But this will work fine once I get used to this small change!
