A guide to patterns in the night sky, with star stories from around the world. People around the world, and through the centuries, from the ancient Egyptians to the Pomo of California, have given names to the patterns they see in the night sky. The latest book in the Finders series of pocket guides introduces constellations from many cultures, and shows how to find them in the sky. With hints for stargazing, seasonal star maps, and constellation profiles; heavily illustrated by the author.
Most useful for stargazing between the 30th and 50th parallels in the northern hemisphere. In North America, this includes the contiguous United States (except the Florida peninsula and southernmost Texas), and southern Canada. Also includes southern Europe, Turkey, northern China, and Japan.

Constellation Finder
From simply finding the North Star, and the Big Dipper, to finding and understanding the Constellations, (and what their names mean in mythology) this little book will give you both seasonal and Lattitude correction, done simply.
This book is for all of us near the 40th Lattitude, (Europe, SW Asia, China, Japan, and the USA.) Best of all, this little book slips into your shirt pocket, so you have BOTH hands to carry your flashlight, and hold onto your child's, (or Gandchild's) hand, as you walk to your best 'Low Light Pollution' spot. It even helps you know how to protect your flashlight from causing your own light pollution!
Great for Home Schoolers, and Families that like to do things together, other than sitting in front of the 'Tube'!
Even GREAT, for those that like to lay out on the lawn, all alone, and watch the heaven's in awe of our Grand Creator, Jehovah!
Great Pocketbook
This book is great to take out with you at night when you look at the stars. It is not an extensive book, but it has many consellations and when and where to look for them. Great little book!
