About the Author
Hi everyone. If you re wondering why you should buy Defogging the Future instead of one of the other Deathly Hallows prediction books out there, give me a minute and I think I can answer that question. First of all, I can't bust on other people s books. I can, however, talk about mine. DTF is about facts, analysis, detective work and psychology. It s not guesswork, it s not about the movies and it s not what I hope is going to happen. The heart of the book is what I know is to going to happen, based on evidence and clues from both the books and from what J. K. Rowling has said in interviews. It s obvious to me that JKR has very carefully hidden clues to the all of the many Harry Potter mysteries throughout the books, starting from the very first pages of the very first book. J. K. Rowling is a genius, and she loves her readers and she loves matching wits with them. She knows we re all desperately searching for clues, and she s deliberately put them out there for us to find, just like she s hidden special content all over her website. From these clues, I can tell you the following: ---There s one person Snape really wants to kill, and it s not Harry Potter. DTF is the definitive work on Severus Snape, and on what he really wants. Whether you re a Snape-lover or a Snape-hater, you ll love this book. ---Snape decided to quit his Potions job and take the cursed Dark Arts position before he took the Unbreakable Vow. Why would he do this? ---There s a massive clue, which settles the Is Harry a Horcrux? question only 14 pages into Book One. --- Dumbledore received his hand injury on the July 8th or 9th immediately after the school year that ended in Order of the Phoenix. Not one day earlier, and not one day later. ---Snape saved Dumbledore s life less than five days before he took the Unbreakable Vow to kill him. ---Molly Weasley, and not Percy Weasley, is going to die. That s perhaps five percent of the predictions in DTF that I know to be tr

Buy this one!!!
"Defogging the Future" was the third predictions book I have read and it was by far the best. The author shows a tremendous amount of knowledge and insight to the Harry Potter series. Not only is the book filled with great information and great insights, CasaBianca self-published so his personality shines through making it a very enjoyable read.
Don't waste anymore time picking out which predictions book to buy! Buy this one!
Fun book full of lots of ideas and hypotheses. Highly recommend
Don't let the relatively small size fool you. There is a LOT to ponder.
Well researched. The author references and backs up his ideas and conclusions. He lets us know when he is leaping into guessing (still with a strong base from what has happened in previous books). I love that he gives us interesting quotes--- pulling little bits of information I hadn't remembered, or maybe hadn't even noted previously. He leaves places for us to make our own guesses and encourages us to write him if we have different conclusions. He also cites and thanks readers from the previous edition who have had ideas he used in this second edition. The big plus is that the writing is like having a chat with a friend. He isn't flaunting his conclusions or acting superior. He is chatting, letting us see his ideas while admittedly willing to consider others. Quick, fun read, but lots to come back to and think about.
Excellent speculation for HP fans
If you are like me, having read books again to glean hints from previous HP books to see how it all ends, this is an exciting book. Louis CasaBianca has systematically gone through and has formed speculative answers how our favorites end up.
I simply do not want the series to end, and I am no kid. Hallows looks to be a violent scary book. In a perfect world, good conquers evil, but I guess in the real world the balance doesn't fall that way. This book gives predictions of what the clues from Book 1 on have to say.
While this book doesn't calm fears about what Rowling will do to our favorite Hogwart friends, it does give an educated theory on what will happen in Hallows.
Worth cost of the book.
