really for slightly older kids
As a traditional massage feature, it does not go through the detailed step by step approach. The child is indicated as being one year old. For those who wish to engage in a specific program of massage, perhaps for therapeutic purposes (as is on many baby massage tapes) this DVD doesn't do that. However, as a tape that shows one how to create a bond of touching and caring with your child and in a way that can be fun and enjoyable for both, this DVD does just that. There is perhaps too much repetition (little on the back, much on the legs) but it was not meant to be a total program DVD. Technically, the shadows from others in the room detract from the quality of the DVD, as they intrude on the massage table. As yes, it is done on a massage table, rather than a blanket on the floor. If you have had a grounding in massage techniques, you will probably not like this DVD. If you wish to discard some of the rituals of massage and connect with your child in a loving and caring way, you will probably like this DVD.

Present for my wife and newborn!
Thank you for this DVD. It's been very useful in helping Mom and me bond with our darling baby. I can see that we will be using it as Darin grows. I'm making it a Christmas present to many of those that we met in our pregnancy classes. They will love it as much as we do.

You guys and gals did a marvelous job and it came at the right time for us to start setting patterns that will stick with us and be positive habit forming. I am a firm believer that touching and bonding with our baby early on will keep him close to us all of his life. I wish all parents out there would buy and watch this. It's the best money you will ever spend!

Excellent massage aid and present!
I just recently got this video and wanted to say how pleased I was with its quality and competence of instruction. I had been looking for an affordable, decent video on infant massage to learn some techniques to use on my newborn when I ran across this one. It showed me how to give my newborn massage therapy, and increased our bonding experience. It will also be good for showing me how to perform massage through the toddler years, as it teaches several different techniques.

She really enjoyed the massage techniques used in the video when I practiced them on her legs and feet. I also bought a copy for my friend (who has a child of similar age) and she loves it.

I would recommend this video to every parent...thanks again and good job!
