They are using Trinidad as staging area to get their product into the United States, however, they are leaving a lot of their cocaine behind in the small island nation and Prime Minister Ramsingh has sworn to put an end to it.

George Chandee is the Attorney General of Trinidad and Tobago. He is secretly working with the Salizar drug cartel. His reward in aiding them in killing the PM, the prime minister's job.

Dani Street is the daughter of the American Ambassador to Trinidad. She is also the girl Broxton is in love with. He plans on asking her to marry him when he gets to Trinidad. What he doesn't know is that she leads a secret life as the international assassin known only as the Scorpion. She has been hired by Chandee and the drug barons to assassinate the prime minister.

SCORPION is a thriller that will grab you from page one and it won't let you go until the chilling climax. We at Bootleg Press sincerely believe this, and we're not just saying it because it's what were supposed to say. Give the book a try, we think you'll like it, we think you'll be back for more.

From the Author
My name is Ken Douglas and I've killed Jack Stewart. It was hard, he was a nice guy, but he had to go.

When SCORPION first came out, I had a problem. I'd lived several years on a sailboat in the Caribbean, writing away. Too many books, it turns out to be released at onetime under my own name. So I invented Jack Stewart.

Jack is a character in on of my stories, still unpublished, but someday. The photo I used on line was of my good friend Dick Macpartland, who passed away at a very young fifty-four. Dick was a smuggler, pirate, real shoot 'em up outlaw, who smoked too many Camels. Using his photo was a way for me to kind of keep him around.

Now it's been a couple three years and some of my readers have figured it out, that Jack and I are one and the same, so sadly, I've changed the cover, changed the name on the book and killed of Jack Stewart. I'll miss him.

I hope you like SCORPION,

Ken Douglas

Deadly Bad Guys, Thrills, Chills and a Scorpion,5
SCORPION is a stay up all night thriller that moves from Trinidad in the Southern Caribbean to South Texas, to Venezuela and back to Trinidad and you can feel the heat and humidity of those places as you read. Mr. Stewart puts you right into the action as you move through the pages, so when you join DEA agent Bill Broxton as he tries to stop an assassin, be prepared for some serious escape time.

DEA agent Bill Broxton has been assigned to protect the Prime Minister of Trinidad from the Scorpion, an assassin hired by the Salizar drug cartel, because his girlfriend Dani, who he soon hopes to make his bride, is the daughter of the American Ambassador. It's because Broxton is so close to the ambassador that makes him perfect for the assignment, as the Prime Minister has refused American help, instead turning to his own Justice Minister for security.

So Broxton is supposed to use his connection with ambassador to get close to the PM, however Dani isn't as pure as the driven snow. Broxton may be carrying a torch in his heart and a ring in his pocket, but she's been carrying an assassin's guns and playing the field. She is the Scorpion who has been hired to take out Broxton's charge. And who is she working for? None other than the justice minister in charge of keeping the P.M. safe.

SCORPION has it all, foreign intrigue, deadly bad guys, a good guy in over his head, romance, terrific chase scenes and best of all, an ending you'll never see coming. I couldn't put this one down and I don't think you will be able to either.

What if the Girl You Loved was a Scorpion5
Scorpion is a sea going adventure story that takes place in the Caribbean. The Prime Minister of Trinidad has been targeted by a drug cartel because he has been trying to close down their operation in his country. The bad guy drug smugglers have hired the international assassin called the Scorpion to deal with the PM and the U.S. Government has sent DEA agent Bill Broxton to protect the PM. However, the PM doesn't want American assistance and to make matters even worse for Broxton, the assassin is the woman he wants to marry, only he doesn't know it. Fortunately for Broxton, another lady enters his life, so his heartbreak will be brief, but his actions will put her in jeopardy.

And that, my friends, is a very brief description of what goes on in the beginning of this action-adventure thriller. Sailboats, smugglers, an evil woman assassin, a guy too good for his own good and more. This is just a super book and I really liked it.

A Good Fun Read5
I read this book a couple months ago and again last night. Both times I read it straight through. The story takes place in Trinidad, an island in the West Indies, and involves an agent of the DEA who is supposed to protect the prime minister from an assassin. Though not ordinarily the job of the DEA, he gets the assignment because the American Ambassador is his friend. He's also in love with the Ambassador's daughter, who unknowing to him and her father is the assassin called THE SCORPION. And guess who she's been hired to assassinate.

This book is fast paced with characters who are easy to identify with. I especially liked the fact that it took place somewhere I wasn't familiar with. I really enjoyed the foreign setting and the tense description of the sailboat chase. Lost of suspense and very entertaining, a good fun read.
