For the student of Auto Collision Repair (ACR)
I have used the book for about 3 years. The book is very explanatory, it shows some of the technics that are most used in the trade, in addition, the author puts an emphasis in safety. It does not cover very technical issues, as enginnering. Although, technology is changing fast for the student is it a great tool because it lays the basics in a clear manner.

The book is ideal for the college student, that is because with the complement of other general education courses, the student is able to grasp principles in the book that seem complicated. For example, physics relates to how direct and indirect damage perform in a body vehicle.

A plus is that the textbook includes a bilingual glossary, english and spanish.

Great Beginner to Advanced Book
I worked in a body shop for 5 years as a general helper. When I graduated college with an engineering degree I decided to get back into autobody repair as a hobby. This book was a perfect reference. It covers everything from pre-washing to paint to frame repair to estimating.

Don't expect to be an expert after reading this book. It is designed to get you on the right track.

The book does not cover specifics on painting since each manufacturer has their own technique. For this information you will need to contact PPG, Dupont, Sikkens...

Collision Repair Technology by James Duffy is toned down and easier to read version of this book that would be great for a classroom.

School Textbook
This is my textbook for the next 2 years.It is the beginners' body textbook and progresses to the more advanced stuff I know it's going to be trashed by the end of school since I use it every week but I'm trying to keep it nice because I'm planning on keeping it in case I need a reminder how to do something.
