Great book!
This is such a great book. It is very detailed and you can't do wrong without it. It is a step by step instruction book on how to create a side business. From permit to taxes, this book explains everything. If you have no idea on where to start or what to do then this book will be for you. It is a great reference. Although not a substitute, it is a great starting point to get your idea off in a legal way.

good guide for the fledgling entrepreneur
with the recession looming large, who hasn't thought of starting their own business to make a little extra money? this book helps capture the gist of business management 101 into an easily digestible book. the authors don't spend too much time on anecdotes or other wastes of space, but get right down to the basic details of running your own business. within the first 10 pages, the book states that if you can't explain how you are going to make money doing this side business, you have a hobby, not a job. it also explains the importance of a business plan, and sticking to it. the book gives you great guidance int he form of current articles, books and websites on how to navigate the legal and tax aspects of running your own business. unlike other books i've read, the book has an upbeat tone that informs the reader that a side business is completely achievable if you go in fully prepared and informed.
