A believer in limitless, free energy, Nikola Tesla changed the course of events worldwide. Even though he has been shuffled around in the annals of history and never given the accolades he deserves, it is time world history recognizes his importance in the scientific world and the world of electricity. He is the discoverer of alternating current, the father of robotics and wireless transmission. The patent office reversed Marconi's claim; and the world of today's electricity must recognize Nikola Tesla's contribution of alternating current and his success in winning The War of The Currents against Thomas A. Edison. The world owes him much for his visions, his struggles and his quest to make the world a better place for mankind.

Tesla's inventions became components of many of today's essential technologies
The best man doesn't always win. "Legacy: The Life of Nikola Tesla" is an examination of Tesla's important contributions to modern science, even though in life he was constantly overshadowed by Thomas Edison. Tesla's inventions became components of many of today's essential technologies such as radar, wireless technology, alternating current, and more. A well informed look at a man who shouldn't be forgotten just because he wasn't the better businessman, "Legacy: The Life of Nikola Tesla" is a must for anyone interested in the human behind the science.
Unusual recounting of Tesla's Life and Work
Norma Brody's description of Tesla's life actually struck me as a good way to introduce younger people to his life and work. Written in a simple, present tense style, Brody offers an overview of Tesla's life starting in Yugoslavia. Here she emphasizes on the factors that influenced his life, such as the death of his older brother Dane when he was only five years old.
I'd recommend this book to middle-school students on up who want to get to know about Tesla, but this book is not comprehensive or in-depth about the science behind his work. Some chapters left me wanting additional information about this amazing man's life and contribution to society, which is why I think the book is best as an introduction to Tesla, especially for younger readers.
