Product Description

Second in the Celestial Passions series. Raised on the hedonistic planet Drakan, Sheala learned a myriad of ways to please a lover. However, she decides to practice the sensual arts she had learned on the handsome Gattan visiting her family. The virile lion man with golden hair, tufted ears, and a dragon clan tattoo on his shoulder fascinated her. Though the huge bulge between his legs that seemed to come alive every time she was near was what captured her attention first. Oh yes, Marljas would be her first true lover. From the first moment Marljas caught sight of Sheala's curvaceous body and mischievous eyes, he wanted her. When she accidentally cut him, she sealed her fate. She'd blooded his neck, claiming him in true Gattan tradition. By all rights, she was his. But after Sheala is kidnapped and tortured by a family enemy, the indulged, protected young woman she'd been disappears. She initiates the blood ceremony that would bind her to Marljas forever. The fire he ignites in her soul does much, much more.

Celestial Passions 5
Sheala is enthralled by the compelling Gattan lion man, MarljasDrefeson, who has just arrived on her planet. She is mesmerized by his rich, golden hair, broad chest and layered muscles. Itching to touch and stroke Marljas, Sheala is soon questioning her vow to remain a virgin. Being a virgin on the hedonistic planet Drakia is a feat in itself. Add the leonine Gattan to the equation, and Sheala is awash in sensation, and quickly wondering why she ever made that vow in the first place. With only a few weeks to go until her birthday, Sheala is soon making plans for Marljas to beher first lover.

Marljas Drefeson has a difficult time letting his guard down on the alien planet of Drakia. After all, this is the home of his enemies. He never should have agreed to come with his brother's family to try and form trade agreements with this neighboring planet. Marljas is much more comfortable with war; and the Gattanare a warring society.

Grudgingly agreeing that peace must reign, Marljas tries to shake off his automatic defenses and attempts to unwind. The rules of society are completely different from his home planet, and he is somewhat shocked at the lack of reserve on Drakia. This, however, does not stop him from reacting when the lovely Sheala is near. In Gattan society, Marljas
could be killed for touching Sheala, but in the Drakian world, the rules are much looser. Marljas tries to deny his attraction to the beautiful Drakian, but soon realizes the futility of his attempt.

In one of their cat and mouse exchanges, Sheala nicks Marljas' neck with her knife. In Marljas' eyes, she has blooded him, and consequently stated her intent to mate him. Marljas rapidly realizes that it is not that easy to convince Sheala that she is now his, for Sheala quickly shows she will not be bound by Gattanrules.

Celestial Passions: Sheala is full of intrigue and had me turning the pages well past midnight. While I had moments of confusion with the story's many sub-plots, which overflowed with numerous twists and turns, Ms. Mays delivered an overall enthralling read that I found hard to put down. I believe that had I read the first book in the series, Celestial Passions: Brianna, my understanding of the sub-plots would have been clearer.

I feel I must mention that I was dismayed when Sheala was captured and suffered such
devastating treatment. Unlike some romantica books that use forced sex for the purpose
of titillation, this scene contained no details, for which I was grateful. I'm glad to say that
Ms. Mays, with her skillful pen, had me smiling with delight well before the final page. The dynamics between Marljas and Shealawere a total joy, and I was rooting for this couple to be victorious intheir relationship. I highly recommend Celestial Passions: Sheala. However, you'll have to excuse me now, I need to rush outand get the first book in this series, Celestial Passions: Brianna. I obviously missed out on a great book!

Hmm3
I enjoyed this book much more than the first of this series which gives me hope that this series will continue to grow and improve. However, there were things that bothered me. I still don't understand this worship of Brianna but since she wasn't in much of this book the female power issue wasn't as overwhelming as it was previously and I was able to actually learn about other characters, especially the men, (finally) better, not by much but still much better than the previous book.

I'm also unsure if the issue of rape was really addressed properly and my doubts at how realistically this was portrayed also took away from the story. But what bothered me the most was that after it was mentioned that Sheala was pregnant and it might be from her rapist the baby was never mentioned again, Sheala was never even told about the baby's existence which was just odd.

Still some of the characters were interesting, like Sosha and her brother, I even found myself liking Cadan when it became clear just how loyal he was to the queen and how bitter he was towards certain other characters in the book, I wish this had been addressed more but perhaps its better not having been. Overall this book was enjoyable as long as your able to suspend reality and aren't bothered by stereotypes and overwhelming female power, I'm female but when reading this and the previous book I just found myself distracted and annoyed wondering why these females needed to keep emphasizing how much better they are then men and how they must humor the men their little whims.Thankfully this was more subtle in this book than the previous but I have a feeling when Ban reaches Earth and meets his woman it'll be Briana all over again.

Sequel to Brianna sizzles in it's own right!5
This is the sequel to the alien romance story "Brianna" that first introduced us to the planet of Draken and their very relaxed attitude about sex. The Alalakan family is gathering together to celebrate their daughter Sheala's 18th birthday. A day when she can celebrate the start of her long awaited sex life, something her family hireed a sex instructor to prepare her for. Needless to say Draken's are not shy about anything that has to do with sex.

Sheala's family are important people who own space ships and are involved in the import and export of goods all over the galaxy. In their line of work they have become close friends with people of other planets such as the Gattan's. A planet made up of people who resemble different wild felines.

Marljas is a sexy lion type man who falls hard for Sheala and she falls for him wanting him for her very first sexual partner. He wants her for his wife, the Gattans being a much more conservative people.

Following a hot night of passion everything appears to be going well until Sheala is kidnapped by an evil scientist out to hurt Sheala's family because her brother denied him a specimen he wanted to preform sex experiments on. Unfortunately the specimen was Brianna the earthling wife of Sheala's brother.

I do not want to spoil the story so I will not say what happens during her kidnapping other than to say it leaves her unsure and afraid where before she was filled with confidence.

Marljas rescues her and they marry. He takes her to his planet where a very spoiled royal brat awaits wanting him for herself. A Gattan female is rescued at the same time as Sheala and she returns to Gattan with Marljas and Sheala. She was kidnapped a year ago and was sexually tortured the entire time. Finding out who is behind the kidnapping, keeping the queen from being assasinated, and helping Sheala to overcome the painful memories of her kidnapping fill the pages of this book.

The sex is as steamy as you would expect from a Judy Mays story. It is truely amazing what a Drakan can do with his tail! I strongly recommend you read "Brianna" first to be able to best understand this story although it can be read alone.
