Author Bio:Jack Staub is one of the country's leading experts on fruit and vegetable gardening. He frequently lectures on the subject, and his articles have appeared in numerous magazines and print publications, including Country Living, Fine Gardening, and The New York Times. "This is such a beautiful book", gushes my husband everytime he picks this book up. Full of details and readable annecdotes about the fruits and varieties selected, it is also a joy to read. Good job Mr Staub. This is also a book for the hunter who wants the best fruit/varieties in their garden.

This is a must book for the serious as well as the non-serious gardener. You will find out some fascinating facts about fruits that you know plus ones you never knew existed. The author presents each fruit's history, health benefits,recipes,recommended plants, all interjected with the author's wit.
The illustrations by Ellen Buchert are beautiful. Each one is a feast to the eye.
