About the Author
Simone Payment has a degree in psychology from Cornell University and a master's degree in elementary education from Wheelock College. She is the author of seventeen books for young adults. Her book Inside Special Operations: Navy SEALs (also from Rosen Publishing) won a 2004 Quick Picks for Reluctant Young Readers award from the American Library Association and is on the Nonfiction Honor List of Voice of Youth Advocates. She has written several biographies, including ones on Negro League baseball star Buck Leonard, entertainer Queen Latifah, and Internet pioneers Marc Andreessen and Jim Clark.
