An invasion against the great Ga'Hoole tree by the Pure One appears to be inevitable, and the owls of Ga'Hoole understand they must prepare. Soren and his band head off to the north in search of allies and knowledge of how to wage war. Pamela Garelick has created a rich collection of voices and gives a spirited narration. Some voices may be a bit shrill to adult ears but likely less so to children. Prior experience with this series would give this title context and add helpful background about the characters and the owl kingdom generally.
