Editorial Reviews
Review
Two young women have combined their life experiences and writing talents to create an invaluable handbook for single women. Melanie Dobson and Tosha Williams examine five areas of life: dating, wellness, relationships, pursuits and finances. In a conversational "big-sister" tone, they present sensible tips for success in each area. Suggested reading lists and reflection questions offer additional resources.
Informative and fun, this book is a perfect gift for young women, especially college students and recent graduates. Its practical counsel and friendly tone will guide single women to balanced, godly lives. It will benefit women who read it in one sitting and those who use it to complement individual Bible study. -- CBA Marketplace, February 2000

Latte for One and Loving It
This is the perfect book for any young woman going out on her own--a natural for a graduation gift. However, my 75-year-old widowed mother said she found a lot of good advice for any single woman in both the practical and spiritual areas. Being a married woman, I found many spiritual truths to ponder and a very fresh outlook on many subjects.
Encouraging singles to live life to the fullest
This book offers a well-rounded approach to life as a single woman (which I happen to be) as opposed to books dealing merely with dating and marriage. Sure, there are a few chapters regarding aspects of dating, but this book delves into so much more such as renting vs. buying a home, managing finances, taking care of your health, and going for your dreams, to name a few. The authors creatively weave spiritual insight, practical advice and applicable stories together to guide the single independent woman in all aspects of her life.
A Great Graduation Gift!!
Excellent advise and Godly wisdom on everything that a young woman will encounter as she moves out on her own. It includes how to take care of your health as well as your appearance, how to budget and invest for financial security, and how to develope and maintain strong relationships. The authors give essential practical advise on everything from how to buy and care for your car to settling into a new city and/or your chosen career. And it is written in a warm, friendly style that is fun to read and easy to understand. Reading it is like having a conversation with an older sister who has learned the ropes.
There are lots of scary first experiences out there? I'll bet this book will give the reader the confidence she needs face the "dragons" and come out on top.
How I wish something like this was available when I was striking out on my own. I'm giving to every female graduate I know.
