Product Description
In José Paulo dos Santos' architecture, one encounters a curious combination of banal accessibility with the unexpected. Some of his most important commissions to date have been devoted to converting, refurbishing, and adding to buildings and complexes. In the Portuguese foothills of Arraiolos, dos Santos added a new wing and other structures to breathe new life into Pousada da Assunçao. In Luso, he resurrected an abandoned primary school as a new tourist office. And in Lisbon, he bridged two worlds with a new morgue and a chapel at Curry Cabral Hospital. José Paulo dos Santos is based in Porto, Portugal.
