Average customer review:Product Description
Now in its twelfth year, this popular wall calendar continues to engage our imagination with its captivating images of the sacred feminine. From the forthright gaze of the maiden to the lush abundance of the mother and the powerful magic of the crone, the goddess is represented here in all her beauty and majesty. Visionary artist Helena Nelson-Reed draws upon diverse sources for her inspiration: fantasy, myth, dreams and shamanism all influence her painting and writing. Each evocative image is accompanied by a moving description of the mystical realm of the goddess. Sample Caption: Mortals have long sought the fairie dimension by invading our mounds and wandering uninvited the dark spider's web of mazes within. Like children they expect adventure, treasure, and when ready to return, they want happy endings!

Breathtaking pictures
I purchased this as a gift and had to fight myself from keeping it! The artwork is beautiful and the information included for each month is very information and interesting.
I would highly recommend this to anyone interested in beauty, and especially those who appreciate the emergence and rise of the Goddess Religions again.
But buy if for the beauty alone.
Absolutely Beautiful
Last year I bought Helena Nelson-Reed's Call of the Goddess calendar and loved it, so naturally I had to have the new one as well. I can look at her paintings for hours and still discover new details. Further more it is the perfect calendar for everyone who likes mythology and love their Goddess.
Wrong Year
I ordered calendars as gifts. I did not realize the calendar was for last year!!
How sad to select something from a group of 2009 that was 2008. I should have paid more attention, Amazon should not have included it in the 2009 collection.
