Unbelievably fabulous
I just saw this book on my sister's kitchen counter. We both have lots of apples from our apple trees and are always looking for interesting and delicious ways to use them.
First of all, the book is gorgeous. The layouts and the stories are intriguing and fascinating. The recipes are sumptuous, totally different from anything I've ever seen. You will not be disappointed!
Recipes, beautiful photography, but much more as well!
This is a really well-done book, which centers on apples and their potential in diverse recipes. The author is obviously an expert cook, and has crafted many delicious recipes utilizing apples in one form or another. Beyond that, he tells a good story about the apple itself, as a tree interlaced with human history, and as a fruit with a myriad potential for us to experience through its many varieties and ways of consuming them. There is good attention to detail in the subject matter, and the author allows his personality to inform his writing.
Apples
Good all around book about apples, cider, orchards, etc. that happens to have some recipes in it.
