My Favorite
I own this book and read it ALL the time. It's a wounderful work of literature and has all of Molly's stories from MEET MOLLY to CHANGES FOR MOLLY without changing a word from the original MOLLY books. I love the American Girl books, and this is a fast way to collect Molly's charming saga. I would recomend this with five stars to any girl- or boy! -ages seven to eleven.

Homefront Through The Eyes Of Molly
I have always been fascinated with American History. It was my favorite subject in junior high/high school. Growing up my mom would tell me stories of when she was a little girl growing up during World War II. I was fascinated with her stories/antics of what she,her siblings,family and friends did during this time. So as a homeschooling parent I am always on the lookout for a creative way to teach the subject of American history. The American Girl series is a fun/creative way to approach this particular subject. Valerie Tripp has done a beautiful job of capturing the essence of growing up on the homefront in her series about Molly. The book is divided into several seasons of Molly's life beginning with "Meet Molly" and ending with "Changes for Molly". In the back of the book there is a synopsis of what took place during this time in history. I would also recommend the following materials to utilize with this book: Molly's World, Molly's Cookbook, Teachers Guide Molly 1944. Sadly some of these are no longer in print but can be purchase through several different used bookstores on the web. Overall I give this book an A+!

Beautifully told stories that bring WW2 to life for young girls
What a pleasure to read the entire story of Molly in one hardcover book. ABSOLUTELY worth the money! You should know, however, that the historal sections at the end of each of the original six books are NOT included. There is one large section on the history, but by no means as comprehensive as the six sections found in the entire series. Still worth buying...Now I have all of these new HC books AND the six book series! :-)
