Catching a Buzz by Ally Blue

How can I decide who I love more between Adam and Buzz? they are two wonderful characters, but lately I begin to feel a soft spot for the Goth guys, so my vote goes to Buzz!

Adam is a perfect good boy next door, with a upper class behaviour and expensive taste. He goes to the college and has a quite good live, apart for an inner voice, embodied in a Scarlet O'Hara figure who uninterruptedly try to pair him with every guys around and for the fact that his parents don't know he is gay and uninterruptedly try to pair him with every girls around.

Then arrives Buzz, a goth guy with an easy behaviour and a more easy approach to sex. The first day he asks a date to Adam and Adam refuses, and so does for the next month. And then suddenly he accepts. And this lead to a mad night of sex and maybe love. But the morning after Adam and Buzz could find a common path to build something together, apart mindshattering sex?

This is a big detour from the usual angst romance by Ally Blue. Here there is no a sign of drama, but only sex and fun. It's a total adorable brief novel, who is perfect for the series Midsummer Night's Steam.

Nut Cream by Jade Buchanan

Toby is an half breed werewolf. For his human blood he has hit the puberty a bit later than his peers, and now, at 26 years old he is still virgin but he is entering his first mating season and the object of his desire his Cliff, his brother's best friend.

He can't hide his passion, cause his pheromones are clearly smelled by all the people around him and also Cliff smells it. And he likes this scent. Better he is aware that this is the scent of his fated mate and he is only expecting that Toby is full mature to claim him. And now, in this hot summer, the time is arrived.

This is a short sexy story, very funny and somewhat different from the Felidae series by Jade Buchanan I have read: more realistic (as realistic could be a werewolves story), but with the same lighthearted attitude. And also with the same pair, made of a strong alpha male and a cute omega puppy.

Custom Ride by K.A. Mitchell

A story starts like hot sex in every comfortable and uncomfortable places slids in a moral tale about the single fathers rights and above all gay fathers rights.

Ryan likes Jeff. He is a yelluva lover, not selfish and very hot. But Ryan is just out of four years in the Army passed hiding himself and he is not willing to continue the hiding to stay with Jeff, a in the closet single father with a bitch as mother of his beloved and lovely daughter.

Ryan is still suffering from is not easy position as outed gay and he is biased against Jeff. He is too ready to judge and condemn him, even before really understand his reasons. Jeff on the other hand, his an open character, so ready to open himself to Ryan and hungry for love. Even if Jess should be the negative character, in the end I find him a lot more nice and attractive than Ryan.

The story is really short and has some very interesting sex scene. Jeff is a very sexy and alluring character, worthy of all the story: mechanic, biker, tattoo man... what ask more?

Taboo Desires by Amanda Young

Cole and Eric are at the opposite. Cole is a near thirty man in the closet. Better he is not "in the closet" because he has not yet better understand if he is gay or not. He has a two years relationship with Karen and now Karen wants to marry. And Cole doesn't want. Cause by night, when he jerks off, is not Karen the image he build in his mind, but that of a faceless man.

Eric is a young college student who knows to be gay since he was 12 years old. He is not new to gay sex and he first fantasy, when he was a kid, was Cole, his brother's friend. And now he meets again Cole, soon after he has broken up with Karen. Can these two men build something together?

The story is pretty short and the answer to this last question you will not find here. But the plot, even if simple and brief, is very enjoyable. I like Cole, he is true to himself, he has not let the public opionin to bond himself in a false commitment he doesn't want. And when he finds his true desires, he is ready to put on jeopardy all his life.

Eric is young. He is like a teen who sees his dreams come true: he has the chance to make love to the object of his fantasy, and he has no intetion to let this chance slip away. But he is young and I don't know, in only 50 pages, if he will have the strenght to keep his dream. I will be happy if Amanda Young will let us know in the future.

"Temperature's Rising" is four stories by four women who write gay erotica. Each of the stories is full of sex and good characterizations but this book is about sex so nothing else really matters.
Jade Buchanan's "Nut Cream" is about Toby, a half breed and a werewolf. He is 26 and still a virgin and is coming into his first mating season. He lists after Cliff, his brother's best friend. It is impossible to hide what he feels because others can small his pheromones and Cliff is also aware. However Cliff expects Toby to make the first move. Nothing seems to be happening at first but when it does...
"Taboo Desires" by Amanda Young is about two opposites--Cole and Eric. Cole is near 30 and does not know if he is gay or not. He is involved with Karen and she wants them to get married. However Cole has fantasies about other men that she is not aware of. Eric is a college student who has known he was gay since he was 12. His first sexual fantasy when he was younger was about Cole who was a friend of his brother. Now he and Cole meet again after Cole has broken up with Karen. There is not much going on in the story as it is very short. The characters of Eric and Cole are wonderful--especially Cole who finally decides what he wants from a man and Eric is not about to let him get away.
K.A. Mitchell's "Custom Ride is about Ryan and Jeff and is a story that deals with the rights of gay dads. Ryan loves Jeff but Ryan has just finished four years of the army and living in the military closet. Jeff is a single father who feels that his life should be led with discretion and Ryan wants no part of being back in the closet. Ryan is anxious for Jeff and Jeff is ready for Ryan--whether they can mane a go of it or not is for you to see when you read the story.
"Catching a Buzz" by Ally Blue centers on Adam and Buzz. Adam comes from a good family with wealth whose parents have no idea that their son is gay. Buzz, on the other hand, is out and doesn't care. He asks Adam out who refuses him for a month. When Adam says yes finally the sex is non-stop and the writing is very erotic.
