Fun and Funny and Fair
It's a cute, sometimes this or that kinda story. It's a light, quick read. The author attempts to provide a storyline for this erotic awakening for the female lead. The leading three characters are developed so the reader can have a reason as to why they are drawn to their shared relationship. The ending was a delightfully appreciated twist attempt. The book probably would have gotten a higher rating if there was more...story (250 pages more?). I would have like to have seen more of the female leads relationship with each man and as well them together. Have her brother come to her aid to protect her against the ex-wife and public that attack 3 partners relationship. Let me see the ex-wife get hers...make her fall in love. Let another woman attempt to steal the heart of one of the two leading men. I wanted more. I felt like I ordered an appetizer that was more than good and tasty; but, when I finished it, I wasn't hungry any more nor was I full.
Disappointing
I guess I'll have to be the voice of dissention here. I've read many menage stories and this one fell short.
The premise is good. I liked the idea. I liked that the depiction of their life on the island was not viewed through rose-colored glasses but instead was honestly related as difficult. I liked that the heroine was not a blonde-bombshell as seen in many other erotica books.
The execution of the rest of the story left alot to be desired. Particularly the dialogue between the characters. It was incredibly immature and cliched. I found myself rolling my eyes quite often. I can't stress enough how much the dialogue annoyed me. I get it, the parents and ex-fiancee are the bad guys. But, really. If you have the misfortune of reading this book, you'll understand what I mean. At times I wondered if the author was 14 and not an adult.
Save your money
I bought this book hoping it would be about two men pleasuring the woman sharing their life. It was the exact opposite. It was about one woman being used to satisfy the pleasure of two men. If this is the best Ms. Vaugh can do, I'm beginning to think she doesn't have the first idea on writing female erotica.
