Hot Ticket by K.A. Mitchell

Sometime is tender to read a very beatiful love story.

Elliot and Cade meet during community service. Elliot was condamned to have bought stolen items (even if without bad intention) and Cade to have vandalized his ex-lover car after finding the man cheating in their bed with a lot younger man.

Elliot is a 23 years old clerck. He has a simple and ordinary life, he is gay and he has a crush for a man he has barely spoken. And he is virgin (in his past only 3 blowjob...). Cabe is a 33 years old post-hippie. He has quitted with college and now he works has a waiter. Where Elliot is all next door good boy, Cabe has 14 piercing on his ears, one on his eyebrows, one on his toungue and one on his nipple. Where Elliot is classical music and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m work, Cabe is heavy metal and night shifts. Everything seems to drive them apart, but the sex is very hot. For Elliot it's not only the first lover thing or the thrilling to savour a different life style, but Cabe is not so sure of that. He was hurt in the past and to trust again is a long way. Will Elliot be patient enough?

Even if it's Cabe who call the shot, sexually speaking it's Elliot who is the top. And it's very tender to read of the first time of Elliot and of his eagerness which can be a real pain for Cabe, but which at the end is a really good experience for both and a very arousing scene to read. Without doubt for Elliot, the relationship with Cabe is a matter of growing, a journey in discovery his sexuality. Cabe on the other hand, has seen a lot and tried even more, but "training" Elliot, will give him a new perspective.

We don't know if the relationship will last: Elliot is very young and at his first experience with a lover... in the real life probably they will break in few year, but this is a romance, and I want to think that this two guy will find an everlasting love together.

Court Appointed by Annmarie McKenna

Jackson is a judge. Old money family and comfy life, he is one of the younger federal judges of the country. And he has a right path for Washington. But there is a problem. Jackson likes men. Believing this could ruin his career he has always kept a low profile, having relationship with men who have maybe more reason than him to hide. And so no one knows about him apart his ex lovers and his father, an homophobic man who has never accepted his son.

But now hiding could be a deadly decision for Jackson, cause he is blackmailing by someone who obviously knows about him. And who has the possibility to enter annoticing in his home. So Jackson has to report to FBI, and the man who replies to his request is Trey, Jackson's wet dream. Jackson knows Trey and has always fantasized about him, but till now he has never tried to discover if the man could be possibly interested in having an affair. Cause a real story is not possible...

But Trey is not interested in an affair, he is interested in all and soon. He makes pretty clear that from that moment on, Jackson's safety, and body, are his own duty and a duty he is very willingly to accomplish. And if being his 24 hours bodyguard means share a bed... it's even better.

Jackson and Trey are really similar, both in looks than in behaviour. They are both strong men, and it's pretty funny the scene where Trey is hurrying to save the judge, and the man knocks down two men without help... if Trey would be less self-conscious, he could have an inferiority complex!

The sex story steals somewhat the scene to the suspence-thriller one. And there are some points of the suspence story which remain unsolved at the end, end which maybe happens a bit to quick... has the author a lenght limit in mind? I was really getting into the story and... puff... it was finished...

"Serving Love" serves up three novellas by three female authors.
"Hot Ticket" by K.A. Mitchell is a tender love story between Elliot and Cade who meet while each is performing community service. They were both paying back for crimes that they supposedly committed--Elliot for having bought stolen items and Cade for having vandalized his ex-lover's car. Elliot at 23 is a clerk who leads a simple life. He is gay and harbors a secret crush on a men to whom he has never spoken. Cade is 33 and was once a hippie who works a waiter. The two men are total opposites. The two come together and although the sex is wonderful we are given no clue as to whether or not a relationship will emerge. Elliot is very young and this is his first experience. Deftly written this is an interesting look at the two characters.
In "Court Appointed" by Annmarie McKenna we meet Jackson, a judge who comes from wealth and leads a comfortable life. He is on the right path to a big judgeship but he is gay and he believes that this could ruin his career. Only his father and his ex-lovers know this about him. However, someone is blackmailing him. Trey is determined to guard Jackson from harm but the two fall in love.
"For Love and Country" by Mary Winter tells of Basile Gagnon, a vampire who falls for a mortal.
Three stories, each interesting in its own way provide this book with several interesting moments.

great all the way around5
I loved all three stories. I also liked how the three stories portrayed the relationships.
The first story is about two men have wanted each other for some time, but until the judge gets interesting "gifts."
They both loved each other, but after a longtime lover dies one is not ready to love and lose again so they split up. Five years pass and their circumstances have changed, will it make a difference?
Community service brings outward appearances opposites together. Past relationships has them both second guessing every step.
