good book....not exactly what I was looking for4
First off the book starts out with recipes for cakes, frosting and how to make your own fondant, I thought that was a great detail in the book. The directions were well written to make the figurines for each cake. Some of the bigger projects actually had patterns in the book as well. The designs in this book were not was I was looking for, I wanted more princess stuff and there were none in here.

These cakes are so creative and amazing. Each design comes with ample detailed, visual descriptions of how to make them. Very inspiring and just a wonderful treat to even flick through in awe. There is a short summary of the fairy tale at the beginning of each cake featured. My five year old and I sit and read it together sometimes. She is entranced by the cakes and a bit of a budding marzipan artist! I also love the cake recipes at the beginning, offering a good variety of cakes suitable for decoration.

Cute ideas if you like to do fondant work. Beginners would be able to use this book to make the characters.
