Two women caught in an inferno of desire struggle on the brink of love while secrets from their past and a stalker obsessed with Kelsey threaten to destroy them. Disappointing on so many levels1
First on my list of disappointments is the fact that this is a Bold Strokes publication. After reading this one, I will approach my Amazon purchases with far greater scrutiny than in the past. I will no longer purchase works by authors who are new to me simply because of the publisher. I never expected something so disappointing from Bold Strokes.

For me, the actual story doesn't begin until Chapter 9 (Page 95). Up until this point, the characters are flat and the plot is thin. At midpoint, the story takes off nicely for a few pages and then weakens again, leaving the remaining 90 pages just as disappointing as the first 90.

I appreciate that I may not be the target audience for this type of work, but if I'm not, I struggle to understand who the target audience is. A college professor, teaching a course in pornography?

My hope for this author is that she learns what "less is more" really means, and how to use it separate erotica from pornography. I especially hope to see this growth if Bold Strokes continues to publish works by this author.

Bold Strokes Should Be Embarassed1
Bold Stokes publishing which was started by the author Radclyffe should be embarassed to have published this book. I can usually count on Bold Strokes for better than average books in lesbian fiction but this book is an insult to readers. The writing is shallow, the characters unsympathetic and the sex seens aren't hot they're crass. There's almost a sense of contempt for women in the author's writing.

There are many good lesbian genre books on the market now- try Radclffe or Blayne Cooper or Georgia Beers- anybody but this author. I really don't know how this one got by an editor.
If you want an example of lesbian literature at its best, treat yourself to Susan Gabriel's "Seeking Sara Summers."

Extra Hot5
Damn I thought I had read the best there was to read in lesbian erotica.
I also thought that only a few very special authors could sustain the erotica 'high' for an entire book; and maybe there are only a few that can do this, but Larkin Rose is definately one of them.
This novel is a beautiful romance with the intensity of short story erotica. It is a 10/10 on the hot meter and yet will not leave you feeling as if you are being 'naughty' by reading it.
Sheri Livingston and Larkin Rose has always been one of my favourite authors and this novel did not disappoint, in fact it now sits firmly as one of my favourites.
For anyone who has dared to love, dared to challenge, dared to live this book is for you.
Congratulations Larkin and BSB for another winner.
