Product Description

It seems there is a lot more to kidnapping than Mickey Rapowski ever imagined.

Mickey is a financial whiz-kid with a chip on her shoulder. She believes her former boss, ruthless businesswoman Victoria Gresham, has stolen her brilliant idea and cheated her out of a small fortune. In revenge, Mickey kidnaps Ms. Gresham's girlfriend, Ginette Felstrom, and demands compensation. A straightforward abduction...or is it?

Captive Ginette proves to be more than Mickey's match, manipulating and outwitting her at every turn. And to make matters worse, no one wants to pay any ransom for her! Confused, stressed, and exasperated by the never-ending demands of her small, but very bossy detainee, Mickey finds herself the victim of an inverted Stockholm Syndrome, and is falling for her charge.

A no-holds-barred romp from backwoods USA to the exotic Caribbean, Green-Eyed Monster is a fast-paced, steamy, romantic comedy.

Fun! Just really fun!5
The second book by author Gill McKnight is a most enjoyable read.

From Back Cover: There is a lot more to kidnapping than financial analyst Mickey Rapowski ever imagined. Mickey has a chip on her shoulder - she's been cheated out of a small fortune by corporate giant Victoria Gresham. In an irrational attempt at revenge, Mickey kidnaps Gresham's girlfriend, Ginette Felstrom. A straightforward and effective plan - except Ginette is the worst captive ever and no one wants to pay her ransom. Out of her depth as every one of her well-laid plans spins totally out of control, Mickey becomes the victim of reverse Stockholm Syndrome and falls head over heels for her captive. How could something so simple go so wrong? Or is that...right?

Michaela "Mickey" Rapowski, a tall, beautiful, dark-blonde with blue eyes, who believes she was fired from her job after developing a smart software application for the company so that they didn't have to pay her the substantial bonus that would have been the result. Mickey has the intellect and computer skills but is it enough to pull off a crime of this magnitude and will her heart get in the way?

Victoria Gresham is an astute businesswoman who has done and will do whatever is necessary to build her company and increase her wealth. Most people who know Victoria associate four- and five-letter derogatory words with her, including Mickey and Ginette. Will she remain true to her corporate image or will her heart get in the way?

Ginette Felstrom met Victoria Gresham on-the-job and they became live-in lovers, with Ginette fully enjoying the perks of being in a relationship with a multi-millionaire. Ginette will do whatever is necessary to maintain her accustomed standard of living, but who has her heart...does she have a heart...who will get her heart?

What a fun ride this book was! Absolutely nothing is as it seems and just when you think you've figured out who is who and who crosses whom, the tables turn and you're off again. While on the one hand the story seems almost so improbable that you think you must suspend reality to enjoy it, on the other hand the story enjoyably captures the blunders of the everyday criminal and how either their arrogance or stupidity or both, get in the way of perpetuating a successful crime. It is these blunders that will make you laugh and make you groan and make you keep turning to the next page. The story also offers some steamy sex to go along with the romance and fortunately girl-gets-girl in the end, but which one(s)?

Can't say any more without giving too much away. If you're looking for a light, enjoyable, unpredictable comedic romance adventure that can be finished in an evening, then this is for you.

Entertaining ride...4
This was a fun book! That's honestly how I would describe it best. Additionally, it was well written, both the leads and the supporting characters were interesting, and while the storyline isn't exactly common place or very believable, I felt the author told it in an entertaining way. As a result I was able to enjoy it without rolling my eyes at the crazy situations the characters find themselves in.

Unexpected surprise.....5
Unexpected surprise, not only to me in reading the book, what a fun read, but the plot is full of unexpected surprises through out. I picked this book up based on a 'Tweet' comment on Twitter from someone and I can say I was glad I did. Yes, the whole plot is a bit of a streach, but hey, you don't read romances for reality, you read them for fun and enjoyment, and this book has that. I loved the 'color' of this author's writting, had me laughing in so many places....hoping I can find more from this author with this light hearted style!
