Fresh from success with his best-selling novel, "The Boys of Swithins Hall," Chris Kent brings short stories about English school boys to readers who desire more schoolboy tales. These stories concentrate on the holidays and home lives of the school boys he knows and loves so well. When boys get together in the movie theaters, the swimming pools, the vacatons spots, well, boys will be boys in all their randy, wild glory.

Editorial Reviews
Review
Boys are really men before they lost their sense of wonderment about the masculine gender. Chris Kent knows that and tells us stories about English school boys without the blocks that society builds between men, especially men who like men. Boys like boys, and that's OK - in fact it's great the way Chris Kent tells it. We can all wish we had had those kinds of experiences when we were younger. -- Bart Louis, short story writer
Kent has a way of depicting boys who are innocent as well as randy (the normal state of affairs) without making them seem improbable or unfamiliar. In fact we were all there at one time, learning what our bodies were all about and how our relationships could work out in the midst of all the confusion and conflicts of societal prohibitions when faced with boyhood realities. It is refreshing to read how it all began, for us as well as Chris' Boys In Shorts. -- Lee Williams
About the Author
Chris Kent is a British writer who brings us tales of English school boys in every situation and with every intention of sharing their minds and bodies with others in the same form. Some of them encounter adults in strange situations, but that may add to the mystery of the growing, sexy boy.

Another Visit to the Beautiful Country
This is a perfect companion piece to Chris Kent's The Boys of Swithins Hall though it seems more fantastic and fanciful in its depictions of boys responding to the relentless demands of puberty and adolescence. Chris Kent navigates the dangerous waters between pornography and the frankly erotic with deft assurance. You never feel that this is filth for filth's sake, but that filth like beauty is in the eye of the beholder. What also appeals about Kent's work are the quality of the writing and the soundness of the dramatic plotting. It may be that these stories can never be filmed, but they play out wonderfully in the cinema of the mind. A great read that left me, like so many of the boys in the stories, wanting more, more, more.
Boys and sex with other boys.
This book contains many short stories that are so realistic they appear true. All stories are about boys having sex with other boys, either sex play or the real thing. The book does an excellent job covering all ages from preteen to teen. I wish this author would write a sequil. The book has high re-readability. It was hard to put down and I can't wait to start it again. There is a need for more of this kind of 'first sexual contact' stories. Chris Kent did a marvelous job covering subject matter that in the US get's only negative coverage. My childhood sexual encounters produced positive cherished memories.
Hope yours did too.

A Big Bowl of Awesome and Awful
Here's a book of short stories, with a title that will make you think it's about English School boys. Yeah right. The stories are about young boys from 9 to 16-years old (sprinkled here and there with older men, including a disturbing story with the writer itself... and here I thought only fic-writers dared to write Mary-Sue's...), all male, with other males... well, save one story. Or was it two?
Anyway, it has mindblowingly awesome stories and « I'll-file-my-corneas-off » bad stories.
So the book leaves you "luke-warm", but is superb when it comes to read something that's only about sex and cuts to the chase. Nice pillow-book for some. ^_~
