Product Description

Now in its 30th year, The Mathematics Calendar demystifies math making it exciting and accessible. Each day features a different brainteaser whose solution is the date — the fun lies in figuring out how to arrive at the answer. Twelve fascinating monthly topics illustrate the role math plays in science, architecture, the arts, and everyday life. This year’s topics include Escher’s “Print Gallery,” the columns at St. Peter’s Square, satellite photography, green architecture, and stem cell research. With its creative, eye-catching design, this handsome wall calendar is as enjoyable to look at as it is to solve.

Customer Reviews

This is a great calendar to make your coworkers think you are a genius!5
I have the 2008 calendar at my desk and since each day has a unique math problem whose answer is that date, anyone who comes and looks at it is amazed that I know all of the answers! This calendar is a great gift for your favorite nerd.

Great for Teachers, Substitutes, Student Teachers, or math students from junior high and up4
This creative calendar is a great tool for any math or science teacher, substitute, student teacher, or student in junior high and up. It's daily math mind ticklers will spark interest to start or end any class. My son teaches all levels of high school math and is now using it and as a retired teacher I am using to keep my mind sharp. Its light and easy to mail to friends and family, too, and makes a great gift for math friendly people.

Some Fun For Math Geeks!5
This product kept two of my children in the corner solving math problems for much of Christmas Eve. Now granted, one of these children is a mathematician and one is an engineering student! There is a problem every day. The problems are fun because you know that the solution is the day of the month.
