What I had been searching for5
This journal was exactly what I had been searching for in local stores and could not find. It meets all my needs and I highly recommend it.

Best option for desk calendar!5
I used to use UNICEF desk calendars in grad school and loved them because of the glimpses of "other worlds" and promise in those areas--and the fact that I was supporting good work done there. When I entered the corporate world, Outlook took over, and it wasn't until recently that I realized I needed to get back to a nice desk calendar to both keep me organized and to remember there is life outside Office and the office. So, I looked for a UNICEF calendar but couldn't find one--and ended up sifting through pages and pages of generally uninteresting options on amazon--until I spied the Children's Art Therapy calendar. Like the UNICEF calendar, every week features a glimpse of hope--but in this case, of an artistic endeavor by a child who is working through a difficult time. Some pieces are joyous, some pieces are sobering--but all are proof that a child is receiving hands-on therapy by caring individuals. I wrote the outfit behind the calendar, urging them to put out another one next year, as I would buy gift calendars, and I received a hand-written note from the person behind the therapy center, thanking me, and including an article about the center. They fund part of their services through the proceeds of the calendar--have in the past and plan to in the future. Definitely money well spent!

Some enchanted calendar5
Once again, this compendium of children's artwork, from ages seven to fifteen, manages to be both utterly delightful and eminently practical. Presenting works in such varied forms as watercolors, painted clay, oil pastels, styrofoam prints, and mixed media, the engagement calendar is designed simply and winningly--to show off the children's work and to provide a useful and appealing day-to-day engagement book. Each work is titled ("Hearts Together," "Blue Bird with Red Stomach," and many, many more) and appears on its own page. Here's a splendid way to support an important art therapy program for youngsters while enjoying their work with the turn of every page. Don't miss it! --Carole
