Sonny's Salvation: An openly gay rancher in the middle of Nebraska just doesn't have many prospective dates. That is until Garron Greeley moves to town. Garron is the town's newest resident and bad boy bartender with shoulder-length dark brown hair and tribal tattoos. Sonny is struck by lust at first sight. Garron's Gift: When his lover Sonny sprang the idea of a commitment ceremony on him, Garron couldn't have been happier. The ceremony is everything he hoped for, until an act of bigoted violence shatters Garron's world, leaving his new husband in a pool of blood in the middle of the street. Rawley's Redemption: After unjustly losing his job, ex-Sheriff Rawley Good turns to the one person he has long denied himself, rancher Jeb Greeley. But Rawley soon learns he can't always be the boss when it comes to love. Relationships aren't like running a town and a man like Jeb is not about to be dominated even in the name of love. Twin Temptations: For twins Ryker and Ranger Good, life has never been easy. Kicked out of the house when they were barely eighteen, the brothers started a new life together. Now in their thirties they are ready to make a commitment, not only to each other but to the woman they've waited to claim for four years.

Garron Greeley

Amos Lassen

Garron Greeley is the town's newest resident. He is a bartender with long brown hair and tattoos. When Sunny sees him he is struck with a sense of lust. Sonny is an openly gay rancher in Nebraska and does not have the opportunity to meet other men like him and when the two men get together there are fireworks. They go on to have a commitment ceremony and when they do, violence begins and Sonny is shot.
Sheriff Rawley Good lost his job as sheriff and he turns to rancher Jab Greeley and the two attempt to begin a relationship but it is not easy.
Twins Ryker and Ranger Good stated a new life together after being kicked out of the house and now that they are older they have decided to make a commitment--just not to each other but to the women they have wanted for years.
The book is made up of several short pieces--"Sonny's Salvation, "Garron's Gift", "Rawley's Redemption" and "Twin Temptations". Each stands alone with recurring names and characters but by and large I found the entire work to be missing something. This is not to say that Carol Lynne does not know how to write, it is the themes that I did not particularly care for.

Good-Time Boys by Carol Lynne5
Sonny's Salvation (Good-time Boys) by Carol Lynne

This is a prequel to the real story. Sonny is a gay cowboy in a small town where everyone hardly accepts him cause he is born there and cause his brother is the town sheriff. Worse, he has two twin brothers, both gay, and also the sheriff has some doubt about his sexuality...

Sonny has worked for FBI and has a passion for bad guy. Better if they are tall, broad shoulder and biker type. And when he sees Garron, the new bartender of his favourite bar and brother of his neighbour, he knows he is the man for him. And Garron agrees with him.

When things become interesting, the book is at the end: on the preview of the second enstallment you can read that Sonny and Garron will be the main characters also of this second book. So in so few pages, I can't have a whole impression of the story, but I can say that I like very much Garron's character, so protective with Sonny even in the small things and so open and hot about his passion.

About the fact that four brothers are all gay and meet two brothers (Garron and Jeb) also both gay... ouch, if I want to find a man, please let me know where is this small town, cause I will leave it out of my journey, but if you want to read something light and sexy, all right, you have your book.

Garron's Gift (Good-time Boys) by Carol Lynne

The sequel of Sonny's Salvation (which was really only an introduction to the real story), Garron's Gift is another enstalment in the Good-time Boys series.

Garron and Sonny are living together since a month when Sonny asks Garron to "marry" him. True, not a real marriage, but a commitment cerimony holds in the town's pub, where everyone can see what happens. But Sonny doesn't find what he wants, instead he finds a person who shots him in the street in front of the pub.

While Garron and Rawley, Sonny's brother and town's sheriff, try to find who has shot Sonny, Sonny has to learn as to live with a permanent disability, which prevents him to have a live he was used to. And Rawley's feelings for Jeb, Garron's brother, becomes even stronger and Ryker and Ranger, Sonny and Rawley's twins brothers have something to hide to all the town, but Ranger seems to far interested on the pub's waitress, and Nate, the PI and Garron's friends, who came from the big city to help, has a not so hidden interest in Rio, the bodyguard Garron has hired to help resolve the case... So? Have you had enough hints to understand that Carol Lynne has mixed some very interesting characters and manages to write a story that has not a real end but is, above all, truly enjoyable?

Every story I read by Carol Lynne I notice she is growing more confident in master her fantasy and writing skills. And these two continuing series she is writing for Total-E-Bound (Good-time Boys and Campus Cravings) are becoming more interesting every enstalment. If you have read Sonny's Salvation and don't find it worthy, give a try to Garron's Gift: you will understand that Sonny's Salvation is only an appetizer to the real story.

Rawley's Redemption (Good-time Boys) by Carol Lynne

The third book on the Good-time Boys is the story of Rawley, Sonny's brother, and Jeb, Garron's brother. Rawley has lost his job as Sheriff after causing too trouble to Lionel, the major suspect in the shooting of his brother Sonny. Loosing his job could be not a bad thing if allows Rawley to openly live with his lover Jeb. And so they start their relationship and in the meanwhile Rawley continues to investigate on Lionel, with the help of all his brothers, but also of Nate and Rio.

And Nate and Rio, with also Ryan, Rio's lover, steal the scene to Rawley and Jeb. I have no problem to admit that I have sometime skipped in advance to see if I will have something more on the threesome. So I'm waiting to read their story in All Play & No Work, the first in the Cattle Valley series, even if I will be a good girl and read it only after having finished the last in the Good-time Boys series, Twin Temptations.

About the main characters, Rawley is an interesting character. He loves Jeb, no doubt, but he is still acting the role of the straight man who doesn't admit to be gay. He behaves like he thinks he has to do a "real" man, an Alpha man, trying to overprotect his lover and taking away decision from him. Jeb is a saint: when he is pissed off, he sleeps on it and goes up early in the morning and works off the hungry, and then sits down and listen to his man and to his excuse. He knows that, during the day, his man will think on what he has done and will return home with the tail between his legs. Clever man.

Rawley's Redemption is an enjoyable book which flows smoothly.

Good-Time Boys5
Ryker and Ranger Good are twins. They share a relationship that few understand and even fewer accept. They are very comfortable showing affection towards one another in a very physical manner and have been sharing a bed for their entire lives. However, there are lines that even they won't cross, but will this be what tears them apart when Lilly finally joins their bed?

Lilly Bevin has been waiting all her life for the Good twins to notice her and let her know if they are interested in something more with her. When Ryker and Ranger finally make their move Lilly is ready for them - but are they ready for her?

Ranger is afraid of the changes that will come when Lilly is added to their relationship but Ryker is beyond happy when he finally gets Lilly with reach. Lilly can't wait to finally be with the twins. Will they be able to make this work or will the secrets that they keep tear them apart?

Twin Temptations continues the Good brothers' story with the relationship between Ryker and Ranger and their romance with Lilly. Unlike the impression that we receive of the brothers in previous books the relationship between the twins is unconventional, but not incestuous. However, during their courtship and romance with Lilly their more carnal desires for each other are explored. Both men are attractive and passionate and Lilly blossoms under their tutelage. However, even though the story involving Ryker, Ranger and Lilly is emotional it failed to grab my attention as it dances around the twins "relationship" too much to be able to feel involved in the outcome. Still, Twin Temptations is an amusing read with plenty of hot sex to keep you turning the pages.
