12 x 18 wall calendar. Luis Royo (born in 1954 in Olalla, Spain) is a Spanish artist, known for his darkly sensual paintings of women and mechanical life forms. He has also recently started doing sculptures of some of his earlier art. He was born in Olalla, a small town near Teruel, Spain. He has produced many paintings for his own books/exhibitions, and has also produced art for various other media: videogames, CD album covers, comic book covers, and Tarot cards. He is most famous for his work doing illustrations of Julie Strain for the animated movie Heavy Metal.

Provocative Nudes
The artwork in this calendar is exceptional. However, be warned, if you were thinking of hanging the calendar where passersby might see, the nude women are in some fairly graphic sexual poses. That being said, the images are wonderfully done fantasy artwork of a very high caliber.

Luis Royo Calendar
This calendar is especially racy but we had chosen it for a more private area of our home. Good art though.

Too long to hang..
This is a beautiful calendar - of course. It's Royo.
But, it's very long; it displays two months at a time. It doesn't fit in the usual calendar hanging spots. Disappointing, but I would have bought this regardless, if for no other reason than to add to my collection of Royo's work.
