Customer Reviews

good plot 3
I had to think twice about writing this review. I just read a couple of books that are so well written I thought I was being extra critical of this one. But I see I'm not the only reviewer astonished by the writing in Murky Waters.
Here's a book with a promising plot that is worth reading if you can get past the bad writing. Claire Murray moves to Baton Rouge hoping for a new life where the person stalking her won't follow. She finds herself working with a secretive woman, Tristan Delacroix and both women have issues they must face. Unfortunately the two main characters don't seem realistic and there is a contrived feel to their love story because they are immature and emotionally stunted.
There are so many good lesbian romances available that I would only recommend Murky Waters to women who think the plot, with its stalker theme, has something to offer them personally.

Won't be reading it twice3
My father always says if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all. I can say something nice about this book - the story is quite well thought out and there are some surprises. I thought the stalker idea was good and there are woman who can relate, I'm sure. But the book was let down by melodramatic writing and characters who did unbelievable things and reminded me of girls who were a real pain at high school. I had to make myself keep reading to the end. This is not a keeper.

A dark romance with an unforgettable twist5
The book definitely delivered on that promise! Very Interesting novel. The first chapter grabs your attention completely and I didn't stop reading until I finished. Plenty of twists and turns. I look forward to reading more from this author and soon!
