Dynamic! Suspenseful!
Jaime Spencer is a nurse specifically recruited for a job at a high-end mental health facility. One that only a select few seem to know about. Holly Patton, is another nurse with whom Jaime soon develops a strong friendship. Eden Carlton is a patient at the facility under an assumed name - supposedly for her protection.

Holly convinces Jaime that there is something not quite right about Eden's circumstances and both nurses began an investigation. One thing leads to another and Jaime soon learns why the facility is such a well-kept secret. She also learns it looks as though Holly is speaking the truth, that all is not right with Eden's confinement.

Before either woman can solve the riddle someone is killed and Jaime, Holly and Eden find themselves on the run. On the run from danger coming from a source neither woman can identify but they know it's there - and they know it's real. They make their way to a cabin of a friend tucked away deep in the woods where life becomes even more complicated for one and no picnic for the others.

Even as the danger moves in closer, Eden and Jaime are forced to examine feelings each has begun to experience for the other. New feelings of attraction that one questions and the other wants to deny. Why? Are they afraid of getting hurt or could it be something different altogether? Will they even get the chance to find out before the danger claims another victim? Or will all three women find out - exactly - what the taking of Eden means?

Robin Alexander's previous two books, Gloria's Inn and Murky Waters are a testament to the skills of this very talented writer. The Taking of Eden continues this terrifc talent with a tale fraught with danger, drama, intrigue and suspense. As one puzzle seems to be solved, another crops up throwing the reader into a topsy, turvy holding your breath journey. Take a deep breath and plunge into what is truly a dynamic book!

Did we read the same book??
I thought this book had a lot of promise, and felt good about my decision as I began to read it. However, it wasn't long before I tired of all the temper tantrums and yelling that went on. Character development....wasn't much beyond tempermental women who had two volumes, contrite and angry. I was disappointed, but still see a lot of promise in Ms. Alexander and look forward to a second chance.

Thrilling Ride!
This is the first book I have read from Robin Alexander and I look forward to reading more! I really enjoy this book. It was an easy read. Jamie is just a sweetheart and Eden...you will fall in love with her. This book had romance, adventure, humor, and who could leave out the sex! Not to mention a couple of twists thrown into the mix. This is a well rounded book that is just a pleasure to read. It will stay in my collection!
