Editorial Reviews

Review
Jane Davitt, author of Broomsticks and Stones, writes: This story goes to prove that when it comes to love, there's no such thing as too much. It's a believable, rewarding look at two men who discover that there's room for a third person in their busy, stressful lives.

And that's a good call, because when one of them comes close to the edge, it takes two of them to pull him back.

911 is full of everything you'd expect from this author; strongly drawn characters, vulnerable sometimes, but never weak, sizzling-hot sex and fascinating exploration of an unconventional, deeply loving relationship.

I found myself wanting to know more about their pasts and what had brought them to the place they're in when we meet them. And it's impossible not to feel for them as they deal with impossible schedules, sometimes maddening families, and demanding, often dangerous jobs.

These three are characters who will stay with you after the story is over.

Hottest Book I have read in a long time5
Fireman Drew Smyth loves his job. The one drawback is being near hospitals, but it seems that this visit to the ER after a nasty fire just might be the best visit he has ever had. Drew comes face to face with a new resident on staff and wants to know more. Drew finds himself without a ride home, but luckily the doctor treating him is officially off duty and offers Drew a ride home. It is then that Drew offers the doctor a beer and they begin to talk.

Dr. Scott Campbell doesn't realize that by offering Drew a ride home his life will change. Scott comments on Drew's house and mentions wanting to move to another place. Scott is surprised when Drew invites him to live there. Together they come up with a plan, schedules, everything they need to be good roommates. There is one thing that the two of them don't discuss, and it is their attraction to each other. Months pass and Drew is at his wits end. He wants Scott and feels deep in his heart that Scott wants him as well. Writing a suggestive invitation on a piece of paper, Drew is ecstatic when Scott immediately comes over to him. The two come together in an explosion of passion that refuses to burn out. Totally in love with each other, the two men try to keep their work separate from their personal life. Eric, an EMT needs a new place to stay in the worst way. One night playing poker, Scott and Drew offer their home to Eric. Eric finds out that Scott and Drew are together and have been for years. Eric accepts the place to stay, but finds it harder and harder to deal with the attraction he feels for both Drew and Eric. What Eric doesn't realize is that Scott and Drew feel the same way about him. Things come to a head when Eric tells the couple of his plans to move out. It seems that Eric can't stay there any longer and not act upon his attraction. His plans are halted when Scott and Drew come clean about their desires.

911 by Chris Owen has to be one of the hottest books I have read in a long time. Full of sexual tension at the beginning, Chris Owen takes the reader on a sensual journey that I didn't want to end. As for the three main characters, I fell in love with each of them. Drew's zest for life and his loyalty to Scott made my heart sing. Scott's love and faith in Drew was without restrictions and absolute. Eric was my favorite. Unsure of himself, he quickly became meshed with Scott and Drew and completed them. 911 by Chris Owen exceeded all of my expectations when I started to read. I know for certain that I now have to read everything by Chris Owen and can't wait to get started!

Three = Perfection4
There is a reason many cultures and religions use the number three to represent totality, balance, harmony. Chris Owen has written another powerful book in "911". As someone who has always believed strongly in polyamory, as a fundamental way to share the joy and strength that comes from truly loving, I found this story delightful and affirming. Each character grows throughout the book, opens up to the others to expose his own weaknesses, and learns to accept the unconditional love that still demands honesty. The end of the book seems rather rushed, but it also makes sense that the three men can actually tackle their final mutual challenge together, and quickly.

Unfortunately, Torquere Press seems to have a quality assurance problem. There are numerous typographical errors and even character slip-ups, which a careful editor or proofreader should have caught. So, the publishing knocks one star off - but Chris delivers a great read!

Thanks again!

911 by Chris Owen5
This is one of hottest manlove books I've ever read. And it's not just M/M. It's M/M/M. Yes, *three* sexy men in love, having sheet-scorching sex...not to mention a sweet, tender, and surprisingly believable three-way relationship. A fireman, a doctor, and an EMT. It just doesn't get any hotter than that. When you do read it, make sure you have a bucket of ice and a change of clothes handy. Better yet, find your own sexy fireman or doctor to play with. :)

Okay, enough about the sex. The sex is insanely hot, but what really stands out to me is the chemistry and the realistic presentation of a working threesome of men. It's rare for an author to be able to write a love story between three men that's not just erotic, but actually believable. This story makes me believe that such a relationship is entirely possible.

The men...ohhh, the men...they are strong, sexy, sensitive, and completely wonderful. I just can't find a negative word to describe this book or its characters.

I will definitely read this one again. It's a keeper. More brilliant M/M romance by Chris Owen.
