Product Description

Despite a life-threatening injury sustained in a vaulting accident, top gymnast Chris is determined to get back to his former perfect form and compete again. Brian is a coach in need of someone to believe in, and he takes Chris on, admiring the spirit and determination that drives Chris to succeed. And admiring the sturdy, muscled body Chris maintains as an athlete. They start training, and admiration leads to something much hotter during their time together. From the scorching first kiss, Brian and Chris' chemistry together is obvious, but they have a long way to go to get Chris in shape. Months of hard work lead to success, with Chris gaining strength every day, finally finding the elusive sponsor he needs for financial support. Secrets, hidden dangers, and family troubles plague them, though, and they have to face the fact that Chris might never compete again. Can they score a Perfect Ten? Mychael Black, author of Going Home, says, "Yet another winner from Sean Michael! Perfect Ten is just that: a perfect ten! The chemistry between Brian and Chris is amazing--in bed and out of it. And that first kiss? Damn! Talk about scorching!" Don't miss this effort from Sean Michael. Pick it up today!

FLYS HIGH BUT DOESN'T STICK THE LANDING3
The title may imply perfection, but this novel, unfortunately, is not perfect. Oh the potential is definitely there, but the result left me wanting a great deal more than I got.

I love the basic premise of a gymnast, Chris, coming back from serious injury with the aid of a new coach, Brian, a coach destined to become his lover. And I love that Chris has an identical twin brother, an obvious shout out to Paul and Morgan Hamm, although Chris' brother is not a gymnast, rather a former tennis player studying to become a doctor.

But the story itself is too slight. Heck, Chris doesn't even actually go to a meet. We simply have to trust Brian that he's the best in the world. Also once the couple starts having sex, which to be fair is well into the book, it seems like they're having it every three pages. That's fine for male/male erotica, of which Michael's has written several volumes, but I felt this story could have been so much more. There is a nice suspenseful episode towards the end of the novel, but I'm afraid it's too little too late.

Frankly, the way this author churns out books, he probably wanted to keep things as simple as possible, not taking on too many additional characters, and an actual gymnastics' meet would have required that.

PERFECT TEN could have been a wonderful and complex gay sports romance, but it fell several points short. Upon completion, the book left me loving the characters, but feeling rather ambivalent about the plot.

Good Story4
Good story and plot development. Didn't know anything about the spins or moves but Sean Michael has done his homework and given the reader a very good insight into what makes a good athlete. Gay or straight! Evolving, strong love between Chris & Brian brings the reader along the storyline of the making of a comeback and part 2.

Perfect Ten- A Joyfully Recommended Title 5
Christopher Allen sustained a bad injury during a gymnastics competition. Chris desperately wants to get back into competition, but without a coach or sponsors and still recovering from the devastating fall, it's an uphill battle for him. Brian Rainings was once a professional gymnast. He really wants to be Chris's coach. He believes in him and knows Chris has it in him to make a comeback. Chris and Brian hit it off, so Chris moves in with Brian and they begin training.
The training is going smoothly while an attraction slowly simmers between them and becoming lovers is inevitable and unstoppable.

Chris has kept a secret from Brian in the hopes that he can convince him with his talent that he can still compete. Now that Brian is his lover, he knows he has to tell him but he's not sure how. A visit from his twin brother Rob leads to his secret being revealed. While Chris and Brian work through this bump in their relationship an accident threatens to take away everything Chris has worked for.

Perfect Ten is moving and very passionate. I enjoyed getting to know Chris and Brian before they became lovers, then just as the sexual tension reaches it's peak, they connect and the sparks just fly! It's really intense. In Perfect Ten Chris and Brian have an amazing chemistry, the story is emotional and inspirational and their loving is very arousing. Perfect Ten has my highest recommendation!
