Product Description

Long-arm quilter Harriet Truman and her quilt group the Loose Threads set off for what should be an enjoyable week of stitching at the Angel Harbor Folk Art School, where member Lauren Sawyer is attending a two-year program in part to quiet the accusation that she copies other people’s work. It appears Lauren is up to her old tricks when Harriet's Aunt Beth announces she’s seen Lauren’s quilt in a museum in Europe. Lauren believes Selestina Bainbridge, owner and teacher at the school, is the one who copied her and insists Harriet prove it. When Selestina dies, Harriet must unravel the clues to exonerate her friend.

Great Quilt Retreat Novel5
In the second book of this series, we are re-introduced to the characters from the first book. This time, the women are at a quilting retreat. The author does a nice job bringing readers through the event - I could feel myself there with them throughout the book. The characters remain interesting, fun and as lively as they were in the first book, yet this book could stand alone on its own merits. The author again brings up many interesting aspects of the quilting industry today and how they are dealt with. I also finished this one in a day! I'll be eagerly awaiting the next one in the series!

Mystery, romance, and quilting - What more could you ask for?5
I bought this book used for a dollar and what a find! The author uses the backdrop of a quilting retreat to combine the perfect amount of murder mystery and romantic twist. I do quilt, but I don't think you'll have to be a quilter or seamstress to follow and enjoy the plot. This is an easy read and one that you won't want to put down.

Quilting Without Pain!4
I love reading books that have quilting themes. This was a generally good-feeling book and easy to read. Something you could pick up and read in a short time, just for pleasure. The other series that I absolutely love are the "Elm Creek Quilt" books. Read them in order and you will truly fall in love with the main character, Sylvia Compston. You really get to know the characters in these books. I am now reading the second book in the Harriet Truman series.
