Average customer review:Product Description
An unusual, wacky, obscure and completely bizarre body of work, drawn in a 1940s influenced figurative poster style; this is the subtly off-set art of Marcel Dzama. This catalogue accompanying an exhibition at the Rizziero Arte Gallery consists of two sections – drawings on thick mat Naples yellow paper, and cartoon-like sketches (with much more text around the drawings) printed on quality mat laminated paper. Each section could be the beginning of the book (turn it over to start from the other end).

A Gem
A beautifully put together book. Quality printing on quality paper (the Italians don't pinch pennies). The book contains reproductions of paintings and sketchbook pages. Seeing the swirling creativity of the sketchbook pages gives one a fresh sense of the mind from which the paintings spring. If you're a Dzama fan and you appreciate fine art books, this one belongs in your collection.
i paid 60 bucks for this book why???
i was introduced to marcels dzama's work after seeing a few pictures in Vitamin D:new perspectives in illustration. (which is worth picking up). i suppose i wasnt paying attention to the fine print but this book is not worth 60 bucks. this book is tiny, i wouldnt have any problem paying 30 bucks for it. i still enjoy his illustrations, but again, its too small, short, and just isnt worth your hard earned 60 bucks. maybe it's out of print, but now i'm broke and dissapointed.
