"I just killed a guy with a rock". "Cool".5
Here's the short version: 1 Post Apocalyptic City + 2 Lost Soldiers + (Lots of Enemy Soldiers x 2 Competence)= Good Times.

It's difficult to say whether the writing or illustrations are the bigger draw. It's probably a pointless argument since both are necessary to complement each other. The artwork is fitting for the topic: washed out colors and faded edges set the perfect mood for what should be the leftovers of a nuclear fallout. The text and scenarios however are disturbingly equal parts morbid and hilarious, but without actually mocking the subjects of death and war. It's more of a personal journey of two discarded soldiers trying to survive in a land where nothing survived.

Even if you're not usually a fan of webcomics, Gone With the Blastwave can stand on its own as a serious publication and work of art and literature.

Besides, its only five bucks and a webcomic artist has to eat.

Yes, It's Worth It5
Since the Internet came along and gave everyone (and I mean EVERYONE) the opportunity to express themselves to the public through blogs, websites, and comics, there truly aren't alot of things worth looking at. But Gone With The Blastwave truly is worth your time and money (Heck, it's only $5!). The soldiers are living in a world that we can't relate to, but their personalities and actions are definitely something we've seen everyday. Kimmo Lemetti's artwork has given this commic the dry, gritty, dusty feel that the story needs, and through the help of his computer programs, has brought an artist look to every panel. Seriously. I thought every panel was painted with acrylics or oils.

Bottom line is that the storyline is worth it, the quality of artwork meets or even exceeds that of Alex Ross and Todd McFarlane, and the combination of the two is mind-blowingly awe-inspiring.

BUY...THIS...BOOK.

Gone with the Blastwave blows me away5
An interesting art-style comic of the post apocalyptic world. This comic book has all the goodness of the web comic in a hand held form, easy way to show your friends the delight of this comic and the comedy that follows each page. Good for burning time in class or something else boring. I enjoyed it and i hope you do to. To view the web comic please visit [...]
