Rachel Mercer's debut, "raw" sounding solo cello album is a part of the acclaimed "Rooms" album series.
Produced by Lior Suliman & Tal Weiss, it was recorded using 16 vintage microphones capturing every possible cello and room sound. Everything was later mixed to preserve the true impact and full range of sounds made by a solo cello playing in a room.
"Rooms" is a series of albums capturing the rehearsal room "feel". The albums don't feature any "studio pyrotechnics" - just "raw" produced sounds.

Customer Reviews
The best discovery of the year...
What a brilliant cellist! I've known her good work from "Aviv Quartet" as a team player, but this album features her as a most wonderful soloist. The good choice of pieces emphasizes her talented performance and the great sound she has... It feels just as if she sat in my room (I guess that's where the name of the album comes from) and it gripped me right from the first note. To me, this is definitely the best discovery of the year.
