Customer Reviews
Fun, inspirational, just what's needed sometimes
Philo So Far has been a most delightful disk, not just for its variety of artists, but for its interesting in perspective on life. Even if you weren't interested in listening to the lyrics, you could find this disk pleasurable for its melodies and comfortable rhythms. But for the poets among us, the lyrics are beyond normal inspiration and have prompted not just a smile, but tears, laughs, and a "play it again!"
Folk at its Best
This is a terrific sampler CD -- there is humor, earnestness, sadness, fun. It may introduce you to a wide range of people you hadn't had exposure to, and will definitely give you many days or nights of listening pleasure
Eclectic Folk Supreme--Thought-provoking
This album was one of my first experiences with the genre of folk music outside of Joan Baez and The Mamas & Papas. I've never looked back. There is such a wide range of talented folk artists performing on this CD and it seems the song each performs shows them at their very best. If nothing else, the song "Birches" performed by Bill Morrissey will keep you and your significant other talking for hours on end as you watch the fire flicker in the fireplace and feel the flames flicker in your heart.
