Customer Reviews
Thin sound
Better than volume I, but it could have had more fidelity. Chandos is known for its technical ability to make the music come alive. This is an old ADD recording as is volume I. The positive side is that both volumes contain over 40 tracks.
Outstanding collection of military music
There is a full hour of rousing military music on this disk of regimental marches of 46 regiments. The Band of the Coldstream Guards does an outstand job of rendering these selections.
It is interesting to see what tunes the various regiments pick for their regimental march. The Royal Army Veterinary Corps has "Drink Puppy, Drink" While the Army Catering Corps uses "Sugar and Spice" and "The Roast Beef of Old England".
It is great music for hiking or walking.
a nice selection
really a nice, animated and homogeneous selection of marches. The sound quality is good.
