PERFECTION FOR GENTLEMAN JIM
They say Jim Reeves was an perfectionist & that he checked every 7' & 12' his record company issued.If that's true then he would have loved this 16 Cd set from Bear Family Records.From the first song "My Heart's Like A Welcome Mat" to his last recording "Maureen",the sound on the cd's is AWESOME,even the demo's(All 75 of them) that appear on this set are brillant in clarity & are a joy to hear.Also inculed are unissued versions of songs including "Danny Boy", "Missing Angel","Welcome To My World" & others,all are a delight to hear.The 124 page book includes a bio by Colin Escott & a surperb Sessionography which all makes for fastanstic reading & the rare pics are pretty cool too.I would recommended all Jim Reeves fans to save and buy this set as it is well worth the money.If you want to talk about Jim Reeves please visit my discussion group at www.egroups.com/list/gentlemanjimreevessee you there

A Wonderful Collection
The great Jim Reeves is revealed here in these wonderful recordings that is a must for any of his fans. Heartfelt and honest, Jim gives his all on his renditions.

The most beautiful box set I have ever owned!
Jim Reeves has one of the most smoothest voices ever not only in country music, but pop music as well. This box set features every one if his studio recordings he made from 1949 to his unfortunate plane crash on July 31, 1964. The set also features some rare demos and some previously unissued versions of songs such as Danny Boy, Missing Angel, What Would You Do, etc. The only low points on this box set are Jim's early Abbot recordings, but disc 4 through 16 are definitely worth listening to. Best of all, it features Jim Afrikaan songs which I know you will love. You won't be disappointed if you get this set.
