One of the best Christmas Albums for Jazz Lovers of Big Band5
This CD will carry you away to the Christmas memories you have of the late 30's and early 40's. All of the Miller greats are featured in stirring solos, the arrangements are great; if you are in any way a fan of the big bands you should get this one. Five stars plus+

Lightning DOES strike twice!5
I don't know exactly what it is about this cd, but I enjoy it more than the original "In The Christmas Mood". The big band/swing stylings and vocals (on the few tracks that feature them) sound just like they did on the original, the magic is still there. Perhaps it's the song selection itself which seems to weave more spiritual carols into the mix. Whatever it is, it works, as this cd always entertains me and my guests at holiday parties. Invariably, someone asks me where I got it and they wind up purchasing a copy themselves. Glenn Miller would be proud.

Glenn Miller died during World War II leaving us a legacy.5
"In the Christmas Mood II" is disc 2 of a three-disc box set titled "In the Christmas Mood" that I recently got from Amazon.

Glenn Miller always wanted to put out a Christmas album and more than twenty years later, his old band members and arrangers made that dream a reality.

These discs were recorded in stereo so that didn't have to be remastered or digital or any of that stuff.

They are the best an American orchestra can give to the yuletide repetoire. If you like the Big Band sound, you cannot miss out on them.
