ahh--soothing sounds that got some of us through ........
My first exposure to Glenn Yarbrough & Rod McKuen was in the fall of 1969. These songs are not mere lyrics, notes, and sounds. They are mental sculptures of experiences and images of every sort. They still provide comfort and inspiration to new listeners. They are timeless. To those of us who listened then and now--this music is like a blanket---you can wrap yourself up in it or open it out on the earth and stretch. Give yourself and others a gift of this phenomena.
Upbeat McKuen by Glenn Yarbrough
Don't know how I missed this one. I thought I had all of the McKuen/Yarbrough releases. The music is upbeat, not at all like Stanyon Street. A great addition to any Glenn Yarbrough collection.

THIS CD CONSISTS OF SONGS FROM TWO WARNER BROS. RECORDS RELEASES,EACH OF US ALONE(1968) AND "BEND DOWN AN TOUCH ME"(1971).THE CD HAS BEEN SUPERBLY REMASTERED.HIGHLIGHT INCLUDE "LONESOME CITIES","TO WATCH THE TRAINS" AND
"I THINK OF YOU" THESE THREE SONGS ARE ARRANGED AND CONDUCTED BY NONE OTHER THAN DON COSTA,FRANK SINATRA'S ARRANGER AND BANDLEASDER IN HIS LATER YEARS.IT WOULD BE WONDERFUL IF WARNER BROS. WOULD RELEASE BOTH ALBUMS AS A TWOFER,AS THERE A TOTAL OF 25 SONGS ON THESE TWO ALBUMS.
BUT IN THE AGE OF MUSIC DOWNLOADS,THATS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN.
THIS CD IS A WONDERFUL ADDITION FOR GLENN YARBROUGH'S FANS.
