Super-Duper hits collection
this 3 CD set contains solo and duet hits. the first two volumes of Super Hits were first released in 1987 and 1992, followed by George and Tammy's Super Hits in 1996. this collection offers all three in one purchase but be aware that several of the tracks are his famed 1977 remakes {"Why Baby Why"; "The Race Is On"; "The Window Up Above"; "She Thinks I Still Care"; "White Lightnin"} and a few with Tammy weren't actual hit songs {"My Elusive Dreams"; "We Go Together" and "Something To Brag About"} either. other than that, Epic tries to showcase the "super" hits, meaning the hits that overshadow all his others or at best, the ones that radio or the fans love to hear the most. obvious inclusions are "The Grand Tour"; "The Door"; "A Picture of Me Without You"; "He Stopped Loving Her Today"; "I'm A One Woman Man"; "Who's Gonna Fill Their Shoes?"; "The One I Loved Back Then"; and the duets with Tammy: "Golden Ring"; "Two Story House"; "The Ceremony", etc. the first volume contains 1972, 1974, 1977, 1978, 1980, 1981, 1983, and 1985 selections while volume two contains 1972, 1974, 1977, 1983, 1986, and 1989 selections. the CD with Tammy contains a single or popular album track from the years 1971, 1972, 1973, 1974, 1975, 1976, 1977, and 1980. all the songs are great but Epic needed to buy the rights to the original 1950s and 1960s hits instead of filling the CDs with the 1977 remakes.
