ALL HER GREATEST HITS5
This excellent album contains all Joan Baez's greatest hits, up to about 1976 when she stopped having hits anyway. This is not an album for folk purists though, as there's little here from her early career. There's also a very beautiful interpretation of John Lennon's "Imagine" and "Gracias A La Vida" from Joan's Spanish-language album. My favourites are Diamonds & Rust, Love Song To A Stranger, Forever Young, Gracias A La Vida and The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down. So this album is ideal for those who like their folk with a touch of rock or pop or for the casual listener just wanting an album of well-interpreted great songs in Ms Baez's lovely voice.

A Nice Collection Of Joan's Best Songs4
This is a lovely "greatest hits' album by Joan Baez that really is more of a collection of some of her finest work covering other people`s songs. Of course, since she happens to do that better than most other artists, this album is indeed a treat to listen to. Her version of Bob Dylan's "Forever Young" has to be the definitive interpretation of that work, and her cover of John Lennon's "Imagine" is just chilling to listen to. Of course, she does include her own hit, "Diamonds And Rust" here, and it is indeed a great song. So, too is her take on Dylan's "Simple Twist Of Fate". Also included is "please Come To Boston", "children And All That Jazz", and "Sweeter For Me". She has also included her big hit, "The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down" here, and also a lovely Spanish song, "Gracias A La Vida (Here's To Life)". The album is rounded out with "Never Dreamed You Leave In Summer" and "Love Song To A Stranger". This is a lovely cycle of songs from several of the A&M albums Joan recorded in the 1970s, and one I recommend to any Joan Baez fan as a lovely set of interpretations. Enjoy

As usual - Joan at her best!5
This is a trip down "memory lane" - Joan's beautiful, smooth, contralto voice brings back memories of the 60's - Great!!
