Mary O'Hara: Irish Traditional Folk Songs5
I have owned an LP copy of this recording since about 1974. Mary O'Hara has an extraordinary voice, soprano, pure, with a minimum of vibrato, and the ability to sing a range of songs from very sweet to very powerful. I have considered her my favorite female singer of Irish songs for the last 25 years. The songs on this CD are very beautiful. If you buy this CD and appreciate it sufficiently, write me an email and I will send you a list of several other recordings by her.

Crystal Clear Singing5
I have owned this album since 1981. My children were raised listening to Mary O'Hara and if I had to choose one collection of songs to keep and lose all the others I believe this would be my choice. It is very pleasing and I never tire of it.

Gorgeous, inspiring and evocative music anmd voice5
For those raised with the glamorie of Eire, the tales of the wee folk and the minstrel's way of telling stories and keepin the Church oblivious; for those who rejoice and lamen t in the 200+ years of Ireland's slavery and bursts for freedom; for those who love the Irish Harp and the Voice and Accent of Copunty Sligo, this disc will be your stairway to heaven./
