The Youth of Today5
Long before the Melody Makers, there was the Waite & Grant brothers along with lead singer Dennis Seaton, a.k.a The Musical Youth. The Musical Youth crossed all generation borders with their version of reggae, rap, and a little bit of soul. Best known for their smash hit "Pass the Dutchie" "The Youth of Today" "Wat'cha Talkin' Bout" "Unconditional Love," with Queen of Disco Donna Summer and "Sixteen," with former Shalimar group member Jody Watley. This was a time when reggae music was at it's best. This was some of the best music and some of the best years of music. They brought us the best with their musical talents and wonderful songs.

RIP: Patrick Waite...we'll always miss you!

These guys keep me skanking all night.5
Not too many people know Musical Youth for the songs that they did. Actually most people know the songs that they wrote that other groups remade. What a shame. They keep on jamming in my music collection.
