SAD TO SAY, THIS GREAT ALBUM IS ONLY AVAILABLE ON CASSETTE (OR LP), AND HAS NEVER BEEN RELEASED ON CD. YOU WOULD HOPE THAT AFTER OSCAR PETERSON'S DEATH LAST YEAR, THAT MORE OF HIS OLD MATERIAL WOULD BECOME AVIALABLE. LUCKILY, I HAVE AN OLD CASSETTE COPY OF THIS ALBUM WHICH IS LIVE AT THE NY PHILHARMONIC, WITH RAY BROWN AND HERB ELLIS ACCOMPANYING OSCAR. THIS IS A GREAT RECORDING, GET A COPY OF IT IF YOU CAN FIND ONE.

OSCAR PETERSON'S BEST EVER RECORDINGS 5
In my view, the first five tracks listed here are the best ever recorded by Peterson.

I treasured the LP of these tracks for years before finally getting the tape version. It seems scandalous that these have not yet been issued on CD.
